This is what happens to leaves that you forgot to pick up last fall and have sat all winter. They seem to collect in one spot :) My lawn guys will love me when they come for the first time this spring. (On a side note - I DID pick up most of the leaves - just a few stragglers that I missed!)

Such a gorgeous day out today. I was looking at one of the trees in my back yard and noticed all the little buds just busting to bloom. It's been more on the chilly side this spring, so things are a bit late blooming here; but when this tree does, it is gorgeous. Hard to believe when you look at it now. It's a flowering Yoshino Cherry tree, and has beautiful little white flowers in full bloom. I can hardly wait!

Spring just *smells* good outside. Rain showers and Lilacs add to that, for sure.

The last couple of days have been pretty warm here, so more goodies are appearing in my garden. This is a Geum Blazing Sunset.

I'll admit it, I love Starbucks. They're on every corner around here. I'm pretty sure I've been to them all! I was at the original Starbucks last fall in Seattle, so when they recently came out with their Pike Place Roast, of course, I had to get some from my neighborhood store. Liked the display. Good coffee! Hard to believe they've been around since 1971. Where does the time go ...

Had to run to the grocery store real quick today, and caught this out of the corner of my eye on the way home. Step on brakes - turn car around - try not to cause accident - pull up alongside - click :)

The sun on the lake today made for an interesting view. The sunspots on the water were almost blinding. The entire lake was affected, which made for quite a sight (sunglasses required!).

A stroll along the greenbelt provided some wonderful shadows today. From the trees to the fence ... made for an interesting effect.

Sometimes, I think we get too complacent with our surroundings and forget to really look around. I've driven past this building (The Hall of Mirrors) hundreds of times. Today, the reflection in the glass of the sky, clouds, trees, and even the next building over, was so nice.
