Little buds popping up in my garden finally. This is a *very* small flower. Almost stepped on it while pulling a few weeds :) I do love spring ... all that is dormant in the winter just wakes up one day. Pretty amazing to me how something this small can even survive the brutal winter temperatures and bloom in the spring.

I can't locate the correct name for this tree, but I believe it's a type of ornamental Japanese Flowering Cherry tree. Lots of people have them around here, and I love when they bloom in the Spring. I think it's interesting how the trunk of the tree is so large for what is a rather small tree. Small in stature, maybe, but large in the pretty department :) If anyone knows the exact name, I'm all ears!

I drive by this church a lot; I had not really noticed how pretty the glass was towards the top of the steeple. So today, I drove through the parking lot, rolled down my passenger window, and snap snap :)

A little bit of rain today, so not able to get out like I wanted. But poking up in the garden in my front yard was this little fella. About the size of the end of my little finger. First real sign of Spring!

I do love the clouds we get around here. Big and poofy :) Today, we are expecting rain. Some of these clouds look like they are so full of moisture they could just fall to the ground.

Ducks one day; Canadian Geese the next. I think these birds are magnificent, albeit, loud and a bit obnoxious.

I think Spring is more alive in my parents' back yard than anywhere else I've seen around here. Still a bit on the chilly side early in the morning, but the sky is gorgeous, and this Easter day promises to be a very nice one.

My Pug, Phoebe, one of the loves of my life, was very good to me today and posed for this shot. Maybe it was just that she was scared to death of the camera lens so close to her face, or, the promise of a treat. Hmmm ... I'm sure she has ulterior motives. Very sly, that one.

I love Mourning Doves. I have a lot of them around the house, but it always seems that once I see them, go get the camera and return, they are gone. This morning, there were several (quite a distance apart) sitting on the fence in my back yard. This time, I got a couple of them :)
